SUMMER CAMPS 2017

Junior Chefs Academy Professional Culinary Arts Series: Fundamentals of Cooking
This 4-day series is for the young chef (ages 9-14) who is serious about learning to cook.  The curriculum is developed by Executive Chef Richard McPeake, a Culinary Institute of America graduate. Packed full of intensive hands-on cooking that you’ll be hard-pressed to find elsewhere, it’s a no-nonsense approach taught in a way that will challenge and inspire the kids to pursue a lifelong love of all things culinary! Hey Mom: I’m Bringin’ Home Dinner All Week!
Yes, you read that correctly!  Not only will your child learn cooking skills but they will also bring home dinner for 4 each day! Entrées like Parmesan Crusted Chicken, Chicken & Biscuits and Sesame Noodles to name a few.  Plus side dishes and desserts to die for. Day 4 of each session will include a cupcake decorating competition. Cooking with the Lara Sisters
Our own Lara Sisters (Chef Susy & Chef Vicky) will walk these junior chefs through some of their favorite dishes.  Each day they will visit a different part of the culinary globe to learn dishes like Lasagna, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Chocolate Tiramisu and Tres Leches Cake.  We’ll even cover kid favorites like grilling, but we’ll show them the right way to do it!  Visit kcculinary.com for the full menu and description of the class.  - Instructors: Chefs Vicky & Susy Lara

Street Tacos to Stir-Fry: Cooking Around The Globe
It’ll be a summer stay-cation for the junior chefs as they “travel” with Chef Raven through various cooking styles and dishes from around the globe.  They will learn as they create dishes like Street Tacos, Fried Sweet Plantains, Pate a Choux, Asian Dumplings, Falafel and Fatouch.  All dishes are kid-tested favorites!   Visit kcculinary.com for a full description of the class and dishes to be taught.  - Instructor: Chef Raven Naramore
